If you want to put more songs into your IPOD you can do this by reducing the bit rate of your song file which in turn would reduce the size of your song file and help you in storing more no. of songs in your IPOD.

128kbs is cd quality mp3 make this lower eg 96 or 44 will reduce the size of the mp3 u can go all the way down to 16 but keep in mind that quality is lost.
use programs like 'CDex' and experiment with settings on some songs to find which bitrate will suit you.

Hope this helps.

your iPod is 512 MB.. so it must be iPod Shuffle right?
it only can hold 120 songs maximum with total about 490MB space because the 22MB used for the program in the iPod...
u cant change the Hard Disk... Just buy the new one.. iPod Nano only cost about 120$... 1GB... just try to look at www.apple.com

Download songs fron the 50s and 60s. They are all very short. Don't do any Pink Floyd, Jean Michel Jarr etc.
