First of all i give u a big hand for posing such an important and popular question these days...and its obvious that everyone is talking about incest
Just for instance take the answers that u have got from people who have different answers and different thoughts on the subject...and if u calculate your answers u will get at least 35-45% in favor of incest...and it's very obvious that the answerers who claim it is taboo are the ones who practice it not practically but in their minds..thats what i think is the situation these days...and to tell u the truth brother/sister relationships are becoming more and more common and in some cases they even get married!!!...and get away with it...so u can imagine the extent to which incest has gone up...good luck to u..and dont think about this rubbish always...bye

My thought here is because of two things:

a) you are from Kentucky (that is where my father's incestuous family is from)

b) that is what God wanted. Why else would there only be one man and one woman? How did the world get to be with so many people in the world if everyone came from the first man and woman??

I am not a sicko that thinks incest is cool or good. Personally, I have it in my extended family. I think it is wrong and that the person that wanted to start the relationship needs to be shot!

incest is really getting common. just that not many are reported. it may be wrong but some ppl couldnt help themselves...usually incest is caused by temptation of having sex....some incest is caused by irresponsible father ..who think own children is the easier target.. as he know them best... some is when sibling thought they in love..as they are young and inexperience.. some are mother and son or father and daughter...usually widow or widower who see their children as the shadow of their dead aprtner...many many different reason caused incest.. it may be wrong..but it did happen

seems like its just being brought out into the light more often than it was 10, 20, 30 years ago. its less taboo to be a victim, so people are coming forward with their stories and putting these people behind bars. as far as consentual incestual relations? maury and jerry still need jobs, and people love a nice freaky deeky story to gawk at during the day.

Its not common at all, it is sick and evil and so far from normal except in the lowest of the sickest so whoever posed the question has probably convinced himself that it does happens all time in todays society so he then wouldnt be in the minority of the twistedt and sickest perverted mankind.

Sexual abuse is common....Every second house sadly. But it is up to the strong survivors to put and end to that by not becoming perverted like their abusers and protecting their children by educating them on how to avoid becomeing a victim. Because ppl are sleeping around more and don't know who the father of their kids are and so the kids don't know who their relatives are and so they may end up having a relationship with there brother/cousin without knowing!

I have no idea what you're talking about. As far as I can tell, it doesn't happen often at all, anywhere, because it's pretty much a universal taboo for just about every culture.
