Yes. My first husband was Catholic, and I converted to Catholicism as part of marrying him. When I could no longer tolerate his beating up on me, I left him. But to get a divorce, I had to leave the church, too. Seemed like an acceptable bargain.

Now I'm a witch, but it's a much, much longer story than that.

Not in a negative way. My parens divorced when I was like 2 and a couple of my aunts and uncles have divorced and on eof my friends is in the process. This just shows me that when you marry out side of God's will and not make Him the center of your life, that it's hard to make a marriage work. But when you put Him furst, He is the one who keeps it together. Also, it reminds me not to rush into marriage, to wait on God and through Him it will last forever.

My divorce only made my beliefs stronger even though I have been told I would go to hell for it. He got the divorce not me, and what was I to do, stay and let him finish me off? My beliefs are so much stronger.

Yes, well divorce has definitely affected my life, and I am a spiritual being, but in the sense that you mean....it tore me apart in so many ways, but when it was all said and done, I got blessed with the best part of life, and an increase in my faith.
