It is slowly slowing down Earth's rotation, to eventually match the Moon's orbit period, but it is by no means significant in your lifetime. If you average the 366.25 sidereal days over any given year, it will contrast with that of the previous year, and it will contrast with the following year. Of course, this goes even less noticed than the seasonal variations of solar day, so it is by no means significant in your lifetime.
