First it is Catholic Church and Christmas we celebrate the birth of Christ and Easter His resurrection. Both are very High Holy Days. I should have known better than reply as you are obviously a Sola Scriptura type of person. Peace Be With You anyway.

For the Catholic church, it means the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the son of God, who died so that all sins may be forgiven.
For the average Catholic person, it means, "I've got to go to church twice a year." It also means Santa and the Easter Bunny. Sorry, but that's true with most Catholics nowadays.

Christmas was the day the angels proclaimed the future result of Christ's finished work: Peace between God and man.
Easter proved that what the angels proclaimed, and what Jesus himself died for, was true.
Catholics certainly beieve this. I would hope all Christians everywhere do, too.

Christmas day marks Jesus' first birth (the one we all have).
Good Friday marks his death (the one we all have).
Easter Sunday marks his rebirth (the one that makes him special).
