from whose mischief his neighbors do not feel secure."

My answer to Gene:
No, it is not all I think about.
I have family, kids, managerial position in High Tech company, doing my second master degree, parties and friends. But, the current situation in Lebanon does not allow to forget about it. I have friends in Israel (both Jews and Arabs), I ocasionally talk to them, and I not just know the situation, I feel it as well. Definitely, as it can be felt in USA, far away from Hezbollah missiles. I accept that all my questions and answers on the topic are trying to bring my personal opinion. I understand that I will not be able to change the mind of the readers and responders that already have settled their mind. But there are many who still hesitant on the Middle East situation. My time and efforts for them. During Persian Golf war one of the missiles exploded near the spot I was. I will never forget that. NEVER! People only can stop this terrorist madness. Not governments, not political parties.
Sorry, I cannot just disregard this war.

(Any) Muslims raising their voices against terrorism?
I'm afraid that is NOT going to happen. ALL Islamic Muslims, whether they be moderate, radical, fundamentalists, HATE Western Society, especially America and for that reason you will not hear their voices raised against terrorism.
If there were going to be an uproar from the Muslim community we would have seen and heard it certainly after 9/11 and also after all those beheadings of innocent people and the burning of soldiers bodies in Iraq and Afghanistan that continue to this very day.
What we heard instead was deafening silence from the Muslim communities around the world.
When the radical Muslim shouts "allah akbar" as he is beheading an innocent he has the twisted idea that God is on his side and that he is justified in committing these horrific acts, these murders...all in the name of Allah.
Is this what you believe the Quran teaches and are the acts your God wants you to do?
It is this kind of sick mentality that is now our true enemy.
Muslims are not our friends, though they may smile at you...inside there is deep hatred for everything America stands for and they want nothing less than the eradication of America and the West.
Just where is the voice of peace from any Muslim? It's nowhere to be found.
A question for you nesher9: why are most of your questions relating to Hezbollah, Palestine, Israel, Arab countries, the U.N., the Islamic Religion, Qana, Lebanon, etc. etc???
Is this all you people can think about...war, hate, destruction...it's an obsession, an absolute obsession, with additional confirmation by way of your quoting your scriptures from the Quran?
Religious fanaticism is all it is, pure and simple.
And a message to daysleepeernightcreeper, if you've been condemning it, why don't I hear your voice? Don't give me that rhetorical garbage about the media refusing to give you air time...are you kidding me...it would be HUGE news for any Muslim group to step up and speak out...it's what has NOT been on the news because it's simply not available.
Oh, I've got a clue all right and you know it.
Just where are our Muslim "friends" when they know the location of terrorist's and their hideouts...and could help stop the bloodshed that wets the streets with the blood of innocent victims killed by beheading in the name of Allah? Where?
Another fallacy...simply being born here in America does not mean you're a loyal American...not when you are raised as and taught to be a fanatical, radical Islamic Muslim that hates the very land of their birth.
To nesher9:
At the bottom of your recently added information you state: "people only can stop this terrorist madness. Not governments, not political parties".
With that statement you have summarized the theme of your question. When will "people", the Muslims, raise their voices against terrorism?"
I'm here, I've been listening but, I'm not hearing those Muslim voices and their outcry against terrorism. With their silence I can only presume that this conduct is condoned by the Muslim community. It's not just my words, but this is what the rest of America feels.

Muslims Condemn Terrorist Attacks.
Yet Americans continue to ask: "Why don't Muslims condemn terrorism? We keep waiting for the so-called moderates to speak out against violence and yet no one comes forward." That's a lie. We do condemn terrorism.
There is no justification in Islam for extremism or terrorism. Please visit one of these link and find out whether Muslims are raising their voice against terrorism or not.

We've been condemning it. The media just refuses to acknowledge it. It would mean the end of big paydays for making up propaganda and keep false stories going. And to the one who says ALL muslims hate western society, what about those of us who were born and raised here but STILL choose to be Islam and STILL love our country? You need to get a clue, wanker.

Pizzachu: "the assumption of a average protest is hilarious" not that hilarious, and not with out precedent. In Northern eire, Catholics have protested against the activities of the IRA, this is a Catholic terrorist business enterprise. regrettably, Muslims do not seem to make certain issues in fairly the same way.

Good Muslims do not raise their voices.. they are humble and peaceful. Violence does not stop terrorism, it is just fuel for the fire. Peaceful dialog is the way and respectful understanding of each other is the way to lasting peace.
Bush is a wacko.
