If Hubbarb is, who is running Scientology now, I mean, getting all the money that they take from their followers? Do you think that they actually believe the teachings?

The church of Scientology's materials are protected and quality of teaching checks are carried out by the Religious Technology Centre. The RTC is responsible for all the materials and owns the copyrights to the tech that we use. L Ron Hubbard actually handed over the running of the church to a board of directors in the late 60's. The money that is collected is put back into the church, pays for community betterment projects and pays for new churches and staff. Yes of course we believe what L Ron Hubbard has written because it is the truth.

Sorry - The head of the RTC is David Miscaviage
The head of the Church of Scientology International is Mike Rinder and the president is Heber Jentzsh.

For whatever it's worth.... here is an accurate description of what Scientology is. It also contains an answer to your main question.
Also, if you actually read it, you will note that there is no "belief" involved in the religion of Scientology.
As to " all the money" the Church of Scientology and it's related social betterment activities operates under fully IRS audited Charity Status in the USA and in many other countries. It has non profit status in countries where it's charity status is pending.

Scientology is an applied religious philosophy. When I say "applied" I mean you actually use it in your life to change or improve existing conditions. This is different from a religious practice. All religions if you learn about them have a basic philosphy, but they also have certain dogma, rituals and observances, and a certain faith or belief is required. There is nothing wrong with this, but Scientology is not that kind of religion. It does not intrude on anyones faiths of beliefs particularly in the area of God , the Supreme Being, or the Infinite. This area is left totally up to the indivdual, which is why you can be a practicing Jew,for example and still use and apply the priniciples of Scientology in your life. It does not conflict. If anything it will enhance your understanding of your chosen religious practice.
You can have no specific religious beliefs and still benefit from using it.
And it is only true for you according to your own observation and experience with it.
It is a non denominational religion . The dictionary definition that applies:
Religion: The spiritual or emotional attitude of one who recognises the existence of superhuman power or powers.

The most basic principle of Scientology is that YOU are your own immortal soul, that this is not a "thing" you HAVE but what YOU actually are.
The whole purpose of Scientology is to increase an individual's understanding and awareness of himself. And thereby his native abilities .
When you do this the sphere and zone of his positive influence increases and moves outward into his life, his family ,his friends, his groups and mankind which he is part of.

How this result is achieved is the "technology" of Scientology, which was developed by L.Ron Hubbard after his extensive research and the discoveries he made, about the human spirit. The basic religious philosophy and knowledge of Scientology is very old, going back 10,000 years at least to the Veda or Vedic Hymns from the East. The developement of the technology is new.
He completed his research before his death in 1986 and left all of his results and copyrights
to the Church of Scientology along with most of his considerable estate., when he died.

He published a book in 1951 to communicate the basic principles he discovered called: " Scientology The Fundementals of Thought"
There are currently over 8 million Scientologists in more that 150 countries world wide. However we are a new religion, only 53 years old.
The true story of Scientology as a religion goes like this:
1. A philosopher developes a philosophy about life and death.
2. People find it interesting.
3. People find it works.
4. People pass it along to others.
5. It grows.

You might want to check the validity of your "sources"..........
Mine are completely valid.

Hubbard is dead and yes the followers of Scientology believe the teachings. Just listen to Tom Cruise or John Travolta.

Yes he is dead. Lafayette Ronald Hubbard (13 March 1911 – 24 January 1986), better known as L. Ron Hubbard, was an American pulp fiction and science fiction Battlefield Earth home page author and founder of Scientology and Dianetics. He was an interesting sci fi and pulp fiction writter. And sadly enough they do seem to believe his work.

Yes he is, however he did write great sci fi books, one of the best is called "Battlefield Earth". Check it out for a really good read. In the beginning line said by an Alien who has taken over earth, "humans will soon be extinct." Then he starts plotting and planning how to ferret out the last of the humans to use for getting to the gold veins, and then to transport the gold to his planet without getting caught by the "big bosses". A very fast paced, action oriented book.

I think the family has control, but it could be the former partners or a mix of the both. The estate is rich and is still involved in the "church".

Yes, he is dead, even though many of his followers expected him to have eternal life.
Yet, the "religion" he invented lives on for the moment, but it will have no eternal life either. People get smart after a while, even though such a "while" may last for years.
