What do you mean, it was naturally straight and now it's naturally curly like an afro? Sometimes hair texture does change, but I never heard of it changing that much. Your mom doesn't sound helpful. Is it actually really kinky like african hair? If yes I guess you should start using hair products for black people. If it's just curly, use lots of conditioner and give it a hot oil treatment a couple of times a month. Don't comb it while it's drying, just let it curl naturally. It will look nice.

You will be shocked to hear this... 2 years
back I met one of my relative with silky hair, I knew she is spending huge amount on hair.
So I started yelling at her not to use chemicals for straightening.

Well the technique is ironing all her class mates are now flaunting with silky hair.

This ironing is getting popular in India.

Give these tips to your mom... anyways far eastern ppl will ask how to HAVE WILD LOOK

When you dry your hair, hold the blow dryer facing downwards. Don't wave it every where. Because that will cause the bonds in your hair (which when wet are much easier to change) to "go everywhere"
