There our those out there that get ticked off when a christian tries to share our faith. but when we sit back and don't share because we don't want to upset someone by sharing our faith we get called hypocrites for not sharing by the same people that get ticked off.
Why is this?....................

Yeah I read it and it's kinda confusing me to but hey it's late what ya expect..........

i followed that and i know exactly what you are talking about. you are labeled a bible thumper if you talk about it, but then again when you don't you're not a good christian. what i've learned is that when i have the urge to talk about my beliefs that is when it's appropriate. the spirit will move you when the time is right. i've learned that religion isn't something you can force not even in conversation, and you're better off if you don't push it. so i understand how you feel, you will learn (if you haven't already) when the right time is.

I haven't really seen the hypocrite part, but if you've dealt with it, I'll take you at your word. I think the main reason is that some people have dealt with a lot of evangelists and are sick of them. So when approached by someone sharing religious input, they react immediately. Quite often, these are just closed-minded people who really aren't worth your time. Nothing's going to come from talking to them except bad feelings. So that's why.

As for the rest of us, we can have a nice little debate without resorting to insults. Of course we probably won't come to any all-encompassing conclusions, but we may get certain clarifications. I think that the main problem is that you're searching in the wrong place. Go somewhere with more philosophically minded people if you don't want to see the flaming.

WHEN TO SHARE OR NOT SHARE YOUR FAITH.
Share your faith with others only when they ask you to. Otherwise, don't say anything. For example, If a person asks you "Do you think I'll go to hell if I do this?" You can answer Yes or No. Nothing more needs to be said unless they ask you to say more.

Don't metion God or the Bible unless you're in church or at home. Religion is all a matter of faith or belief. None of it can be proven or disproven. There are plenty of other things to talk about to others.

Good observation...I don't really know what to say but to continue teaching the Gospel of Christ. We will be persecuted by those who don't believe, but we will be rewarded. I also wonder why it is always the Christians who find opposition. It seems, in my dealings that people never get upset when you mention Buddha, Allah, or Gandhi, or other little g gods, but when you mention Jesus Christ, people get so upset....

I just think like this: If you've found your own truth...then keep it to yourself. Your truth is not everyone's truth.
