That would depend on your company's policy about dating coworkers. If it is ok to date the person I say go for it but if not, I say be very careful when you do it outside of work. I mean if you do decide to date the person, then make sure you keep things professional in the office, so as not to tip anyone off there is a relationship. Because some jobs are really serious and strict about that no dating other coworkers. But going back to dating the coworker, i say find someone more suited in your area, becaue you and that person from another area can be so different in views that it would be really awkward if you had nothing in common. And trust me awkward breeds gossip, cuz she could possibly tell some other women in her area that will tell other women in different areas about you. And you could lose your job if your company is against dating coworkers. And if you do see someone in your area be casual but not overly friendly when communicating in the office, don't need to tip anyone off as to what's going on.

Well for starters, do you know the same people within the company? This seems to make things difficult if you do because people can't mind their own business and meddle in your relationship.
I have dated 3 different people I used to work with. We never got in trouble we just caught a lot of repercussions from jealous co-workers.

I don't think that i would get into trouble cuz first of all it isn't really anyone's business who you date is it? I know you will want to tell your friends that you have met someone special, but who else lives your life for you other than you???so my answer would have to be yes.. there are plenty more jobs out there that you could go and find somewhere so it isn't sooo bad... you never know if she is or isn't the one if you dont take some risks.... life is all about challenges and as long as you are up for the game go ahead and play..

there's always a loop hole....read those employee hand books they give out to you and ask question and such(that's what a co-worker of mine did). I know at my job, you can't have a co-worker date a manager, yet you can have a manager date a manager and a co-working date a co-worker...something like that. Maybe there's something like that in your job. i guess, depends on the level of a co-worker...or something

Well...I don't see any harm if you date a coworker and you surely can't get in trouble just because you're doing that...In the end...it's your life and they can't tell you "No" :)
