Earlier this week I had thought about my most precious moments. I never do this. As I looked through the best part of my life I almost cried. I sat there in awe. I don't know. Is it usual to become all emotional all of a sudden when you think of the precious moments.

I had told my friend about how we used to have such wonderful moments with our other friends. He was in shock and agreed.

Simple answer, I don't know. It may not be normal as in mainstream, but it does happen to many people

Complex answer, since this is in the religious section: Theists, actually mostly Christians, may be inclined to tell you that this was an interaction with God and that you should be very thankful and pray to him in thanks. Atheists will tell you that you were just reminiscing, which they have done as well. Smell can trigger very strong memories, as can the other senses. Maybe you just saw, smelled, tasted etc. something that was somehow familiar and set off a cascade of memories.

Of course it's normal. The American culture teaches that the most important things in life are money and things, and you obviously haven't fallen for that. What truly matters is the relationship we have with God and our relationships with others. You're doing just fine.

not really especially if you are getting older, people go away,or die, your children grow up and move away, and have children, and you don't see them as much as you'd like, sometimes you just realize how precious life really is......and you realize how short it really is and how time flies and one day your in high school, next thing you know your old enough to retire

Yes, it is normal. When you think about times when you were incredibly happy it's normal to feel like this.

I don't think it's unusual at all.
