Subtle means something that is hardly noticable. A subtle joke
would be an inside joke. Something that 1 or 2 people can say a word or two and know it refers to something only they know about. An example; 2 people are out on the town and see somebody doing something really stupid and he's wearing a Hawaiian shirt. Next day at work one guy points to somebody wearing a hawaiin shirt and they both start laughing. No-one else knows why the are laughing. That is a subtle joke.

Time to subtle down?Space subtle? She had a subtle walk about her. I had trouble with the fact she was so subtle with me over my bad breath but long fingers and big feet.I think she wants me to stay for breakfast because she said it so obviously about what I like for breakfast. I'm not used to that because they're usually gone after the half hour is up.

means that they can be said coldly, or that they can be told but you werent really told openly and enthusiasticaly, just in a little subltle way. It could be just a small subtle movement that gave the answer away.

like if I had my skirt tucked in my panties, a subtle way of telling me would be to say quietly in my ear, hey, your undies are showing. But if you wanted to be the opposite of subtle, possibly blunt, a good scenario would be This: you're at your ex's house and his new girl is there you could say " I don't want that tramp *** slut around my child" thats a nonsubtle way to say you don't approve. get it? *This i your brain, this is your brain on drugs* any questions?
