I heard that if you go on line Mon-Thur at midnight, the fares are lower. My sister did this and found this out to be true.She got two tickets for her 2 kids from Tenn. to Calif. round trip. The fares were alot cheaper at midnight. I guess that is when people don't show up for their flight I guess, and things get pushed around. Good Luck! I've been to New Orleans and I had fun.

I find that Tue Wed are the best as I fly regulary to New Orleans from CA. I have used all different airlines and usually go directly to the indidvidual websites of each airline. Its always best for 21 day's advanced notice.

For purchasing?? Or for actually going to the destination?? Your best days to purchase the flights are Tuesday through Thursday... And your best days to fly are actually Tuesday's and Saturday's...

Try Southwest.com
We are flying on Tuedays. Got our tickets from Nashville to NOLA for a total of $149.50 roundtrip (per person...tax and other fees included)...VERY CHEAP!
And it depends on how far in advance you are getting your tickets.
