Whats wrong with diapers anyway..?

Why is it that so many people are against older children using diapers, if a 3 yr old or a 4 yr old feals they would rather use a diaper than a toilet why not let him, why does everyone think diapers are so bad. they can grow up when there ready and letting them use a diaper doesnt stop them growing up anyway... Its just a diaper i dont get it.. Everyone seems to think that if they wear a diaper they will remain an infant.. I dont see elderly people walking around acting like babies..

I can see your point, in a way, you don't see too many kindergartners in diapers. Society doesn't accept this though. At the age of two most children are ready to begin potty training. It should be encouraged, but not forced. You as a parent just can't stand by and not teach them though. Potty Training is called training, but children have to be taught to use the toilet. It is not learned without instruction. They have to be taught how to control their urges to soil themselves. They especially have to be taught how to tend to themselves, proper hygiene. They have to taught how to wipe, flush the toilet, and to always wash their hand with soap. They are little children. Potty Training can be frustrating, especially if the child isn't developmentally ready. But you as a parent, the adult, have the responsibility to teach the child the proper way to toilet. It has to be done. Pull ups and diapers are fine, especially at night or on a trip to the store etc. But you must see to it that the child is instructed in this area of growth and development.

ok first off some older people have medical problems and if the child does thats fine but i really disagree with you on this child thing you say let them grow up when they wanna is it your just to lazy to potty train?you dont have any kids so you dont care and see how important it is right now? i mean you haveto teach children its a part of them properly growing if thats not important to you well my heart goes out to your childern i know they gone love you cause your there parent but its always gone be well if my mother didnt let me continue to do thi i wouldn't have
