Put Buddha on a high, pretty self by himself facing the entrance to greet all with love. If you want protection use two lil foo dogs by your front door. I love Feng Shui and if you feel the qi flow in your home is stagnant try cleaning up (getting rid of clutter), rearranging the furniture and adding soothing things like plants and water features. if your neighbors are truly stressin you out, try to do what you can to make you home as welcoming and relaxing as possible, that way it'll feel like a refuge rather than the prison thats keeping you next to the heathens.

I don't think putting a Buddha in your house is going to help you ward off the bad vibes from your neighbors

Will alone should hold off bad vibes... Buddha statue and his teachings are about peace and love... should be displayed for rememberance of his teachings.
If you are into the Feng Sui, try getting an accredited Feng Sui Si Fu to your house for advice on the flow of your house's Chi instead. That will be better than warding off others... take care of self first!

Buddha is too great to be used in such small matter. One of his teaching was to love everyone no matter what. If you love everyone they will love you back. So instead of putting him anywhere in your house, put his teaching in your heart. This is the best thing to do.
By the way, Buddhists usually put a Buddha in a noble place. They place it in a alter or rack which is higher than people sit or sleep. They think he is too noble to live with the same level of ordinary people.

Actually, the best place for a Buddha would be upside the neighbor's head, preferably at a fairly good velocity...

Buddha is for obtaining wealth, not warding off bad vibes.
The best way to do this is to have mirrors facing their house from your windows and doors facing them, and in your garden. It just shines it right back to them!

somewhere on the wall nearest that neighbor. also if you can, put a small mirror on the outside of the house on that side to reflect back the bad stuff.
