In my opinion weath is determined by every individual, seems to me that no matter how much a person has they always seem to want more and not be happy with what they already have, if your talking about the things you have in a posative way it shouldnt be looked at as bragging but people will take that stance out of jealousy much of the time, they will be jealous of you because you have something they dont , i would suggest if your talking about things youve worked hard for , maybe mention how much you appreciate having those things, people might veiw that differently and not feel offended or think your "bragging" if thats what your doing then who cares what people think, i will talk about my house and vehicle not because im bragging but because i REALLY enjoy having them , i see nothing wrong with that at all. hiope that answered your question (-:

It is a well known fact that talking about money is vulgar. You never hear people who come from rich families who have grown up with riches talking about what they have/own. It is always 'lower class' people who have accumulated money either by winning it or earning it in some way that brag about it. These people are referred to as 'the nouveau riche' and don't know how to use their new found wealth so they often spend it in an over the top fashion and constantly make it the topic of conversation at every instance. I know people like this - please don't be one of them. I couldn't give a tiny rats **** about money and what people have/don't have. It doesn't motivate me in any way. The last thing I want to do is listen to someone else try to convince me they are 'wealthy' by showing me their new watch or telling me how big their house is - that simply spells out KNOB in my books. No disrespect intended!

I think that wealth isn't necassarily about the amount of money that you have - but more about how you earned it, how hard you worked from it and life experience and knowledge. You are proud of what you work for and there is nothing wrong with that - maybe they are jealous - people can be jealous of things you would never think of sometimes - like your work ethic, motivation, drive, etc so really if it wasn't that it might be something else - just be proud of who you are, how hard you work, and your wealth- which isn't only monetay - true wealth, to me is being happy in your life - your heart, mind sole - that you feel safe, secure and comfortable with your living, family, friends, and work and it sounds like you have that so a number isn't so important.... That is what makes someone wealthy - cause some of the richest people in the world would trade it all for happiness.

Alot of questions there. The simple answer is wealth can mean alot of different things to different people. It is not always judged by material things such as house, money in bank, etc. However people's response can be governed by one thing and that is jealousy. Some people don't like to see other people happy or doing well in life. Therefore belittling people is their way of 'dealing with it.' So, you go ahead enjoy what you've worked for, unfortunately some people will be people!!!

Money does not make you wealthy. I know lots of families that have little money but they are the richest people I know. If you brag about having the biggest johnson, you usually have the smallest. So it is with money...those with the most discuss it the least.

Then again, Money doesn;t hurt either...

1) Money

2) Depends on what you consider "well off"

3) Its only really bragging if the people you are talking to are poorer thatn you are; if you are roughly equal than it is simply a pi**ing contest...

Wealthy is when you can live off of the returns without touching the initial investment(s).

Because you are bragging. Don't tell anyone what you have or don't have. No one wants to know.
