Thanks for deciding what everyone should think and say about the good ol' US of A, Red. (note sarcasm) I don't care what you say but thinking everyone has to say and believe it undermines the first amendment a bit, don't you think? No, I'm sorry, you don't think about anyone but yourself. Please keep your god to yourself while your at it.

The ORIGINAL pledge of allegiance was:

I pledge allegiance to the flag
and to the Repblic for which it stand
For Liberty and Justice for All.

INDIVISIBLE was added after the Civil WAR

GOD was added in the 1950's

How do Muslims and Atheists feel about this or are they NON PERSONS

You know, in the ORIGINAL constitutions BLACKS, INDIANS, WOMEN and CHILDREN were "other persons."

Perhaps one day we will practise this again, when WASPS are a minority!

It is CHRISTIAN and GODLY to FORCE a religious view on someone!

Maybe one day Muslims will dominate America and YOUR KIDS may have to say

One Nation, Under Allah!

Would you like that?!

It is said FRANCE can't pass a law without Muslim support!

One day, maybe MUSLIMS will control both houses of Congress and change the Pledge!

Be ready for that day!

Nostalgic, actually. I remember hearing it as a kid and being insipired, as I was again listening to it just now. I do think the biggest mistake they ever made was adding "under God" to it, though.

Because our founding fathers were Deists (Not Christian), the meaning of the phrase "under God" (or any saying with "God" in it) meant that individuals, personal, God. Wether their God be themselves or a Higher Power.

So, even though I am Pagan, any American phrase with the word "God" in it, still applies to me and my Goddess and God.
