SCIENCE, the truth about religion can not be handled by most people, that's why everyone denies the truth... the truth hurts.

They cross when science hands down evidence, and religion modifies itself to incorporate reality into faith.
Example: According to the big bang, the universe was created sometime between 10 billion and 20 billion years ago from a cosmic explosion that hurled matter and in all directions. When this became the widely held scientific belief, the christians countered that you don't read the story of god creating the world literally. A day for god could theoretically be thousands and thousands of years...
There's problems when the two meet. First of all, science isn't democratic. Scientists don't vote on which theory they like best, and go with that one. This was done with the bible.
Secondly, with science, if something is proven wrong, it doesn't destroy everything that came before it. Scientists can correct, and redo the work, thereby making all aspects of it valid. Faith, on the other hand, is invalidated on the whole, by even one aspect of it being disproven.
Science relies on people doing some painstaking work, proving the beliefs put forward. God figures are an unproven explanation for things that primitive and/or uneducated minds can't grasp. I've said this many times before...God didn't create science. A lack of science created god.
A favorite thing for people of faith to do, is try to discredit science from the inside; intelligent design for instance. They claim many scientists (Darwin is a particular favorite) later in life discredit, or recant their work. Most of the time, these people use quotes out of context (at best). Darwin NEVER discredited his work. He remained dedicated to his scientific research and work until his death.

Some people believe that through science, they can further prove the existence of a god. I'm an atheist, and I believe in science myself, but I can see how science and religion may be related in some peoples' minds.
Some may believe that this world could not possibly exist without some form of a deity being the creator. Just look at how much there is. Basic elements fit together so perfectly to form molecules that are the basic building blocks of life. Our planet is just the right distance from the sun to provide energy and heat, without detroying us. It sure looks like it was all done intentionally. I, being an atheist believe it's a wonderful coincidence, but a religious person may see it as a wonderful project, done by an almighty being.
I guess that's where they cross. The more science discovers, the more it looks like the universe is more perfect than chance could ever create.

They cross everywhere. Creation is only one point. Personally, between the Bible version and the "scientific" Big Bang theory, I don't see a discrepancy. First there was nothing. Then a flash, then planets formed, then atmosphere, then land formations, then life. It's the same order whether you read Genesis or a textbook.
As far as evolution, well, even Darwin himself said his theory was wrong. (Not to say there's no such thing as evolution, just not how he described it and how some people want to argue it.)
How about the sun? Nobody is sure anymore what it's made of, but we've ruled out the formerly accepted answer that it's fueled by nuclear fusion. So what gives it its energy?
And my favorite is chaos theory as expressed in fractal geometry.

Science is not absolute truth. Why does everyone beleive that.
When I grew up Saturn was the ONLY planet with rings.
In 1930 FREUD was the only Psychiatry.
Today both of those are WRONG.
Anyone raised in the SCHOOL system prior to 1980 is now an ignorant imbicell!
Everything in Science has changed since 1980!
How can one live with something that changes eveyr few decades!
Science has no ethics, either.
Science invents rubbers so people can screw blindly
Alright, all you girls.
You LIKE lying on your back, spreading your legs and letting some guy stick it into you who then dumps you after he's had his fun!
Come on girls!
Speak up!
I can't tell you how many girls I personally know who say:
I can't beleive I LET HIM!
Come on GIRLS
SCIENCE MAKES THIS POSSIBLE
Science makes SEX a sport!
You're the prey!
SPEAK UP or be silent forever and just spread your legs and be an opening!
SCIENCE does this to you, religion tries to keep you pure.
Religion does it's best to make sure NO GUY except your husband, KNOWS what your REAL hair color is!
Science makes it easy for you to spread em
Law makes it easy for him to dump you
Relgion does it's best to keep you pure and with one person
You girls really like showing it all to 20 guys! Speak up!
If not, all of you become pole dancers and show it to everyone!
Why DISCRIMINATE!
What, you don't like certain guys!
What, you don't like their color, their income level, their car!
Come one, girls, this is your only chance or NEVER EVER SAY, why did I let him!
Science makes it easy to screw. Science makes you a play thing!
This is where Science and Religion DON'T CROSS
It's up to the girls out there, otherwise you just two boobs and an opening! You're a thing for male gratification.
Big Bang is Genesis, plain and simple
Evolution, you a monkey's nephew?
Are you a child of a superior being or a mutated animal?
Girls, if you don't speak up, never call a man an animal again! Never say we'll screw anything on 2 or 4 legs, ever again!
And acknoweldge you're just a vessel for our gratification.
SCIENCE with it's rubbers and chemicals and stuff makes that possible!
Science MAKES women a THING, not a person!

Scientific 'truths' are truths only relative to the time. Time, as we all know is an endless and beginning-less continuum. In this long and wide turf truths come (discovered or invented), rule the minds of people, hold an unquestionable sway over our convictions and then as the times change fall by the way side.See what happened to Cartesian and Newtonian maths/philosophies. As times changed and new challenges cropped up these so called scientific 'truths' gave way to other such truths. But religions are not science. They speak of revealed truth which is not relative to time. This kind of truth is eternal. May be people at different times do not understand these eternal truths and discount them as crap. It is not the fault of these truths but it is the inadequacy of the minds.Science keeps exploring and demolishing existing theories to found new theories which will have the same fate after sometime. But religion remains changeless as it speaks of eternal truth. So there is no crossing point at all.

For me I believe God, because these science people are also His creation and that they think they can outhink God. There are a lot of things that science can't explain, so I think they have run out of ideas. And also Charles Darwin apologized that his theory is wrong but the science people hindered it to be know to all people which is very unethical and disappointing. If his first statement was publicize so should is the last.

They do not. Empirical evidence is not a strong point of religion. It depends on accepting anecdotal testimony. There are surely things we haven't yet come to understand, or are incapable of understanding, but I don't believe that the fear of the unknown should cause us to declare understanding without proof, to the exclusion of other points of view. Embrace your chosen higher power, but your right to do so should be tempered by tolerance. You may think I'm preaching to you but that sentiment may be your own intolorance rearing it's head.
As I read the following answers one thing that stands out to me is that the creationist leaning contributors seem to be basing their responses on questions, reflecting their search for order and stating their acceptance of one view over another, again without empirical evidence, which is what all science by neccessity is based upon. I believe that this shows that science and Religion do not meet.
By the way science does not contend that time began with the big bang.

Science can prove creation in many ways, they go hand in hand, but some people think that this is only an athiest's ball game. Science is not 'property' and those who have a religious background can use it with as much right as anyone else.

Both were given to people for their use and benefits. Scientific researchers and inventions are described in Quran, in details.
As well as scientists had proved that Quran is the greatest miracle on the Earth. This is where both are crossing each other
