because those are the fanatical ones. I can't stand them either. A true Christian would love anyone for whatever they believe, and not judge others because of what their belief's may be. I hate that. I am Christian, and I hate the ones who judge you. "Judge not lest Ye be Judged" Hypocrites...

One of our commands is to witness and spread The Gospel. I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones who are doing that on this site. It's just an expression of our love for Christ, what he has done in our lives and what he can do in yours. This is the Religion & Spirituality Forum, though...some people are going to take the forum for granted and do some "religion bashing" regardless of their religious background.

Some do in the question I see from time to time. Most, however, are more involved with the duties of apologetics than evangelism. I don't want to call you uneducated but I want to make sure you know what I am talking about. Apologetics is the action of explaining what the Bible means to those that attack it without full knowledge of it's whole message....Jim

Christianity is essentially a Conversion religion. Like Muslims people converted to it. Parsis, Hindus & many other religions around the world do not preach religion to make people convert which is not true for Christians.

Because Christians are supposed to witness to non-Christians. Be "Christ-like" and Jesus witnessed everywhere he went. If faith was still the same now as it was thousands of years ago, we could probably look up and see Heaven from Earth - but it's not. There are many branches to Christianity - Evangelist being one, so maybe they call it evangelizing - or maybe you do - but whichever one "GOD IS GREAT" The only way to heaven is through our savior Jesus Christ. Christians want people to know this and understand this - it does not mean you will perfect or that you wont ever sin again because u ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus in your life as your savior - it just means you try not to - your try to live the way the Bible says you should, you try to be "Christ like", to follow his ways and not the ways of the world...and when temptation overcomes you- you ask him for forgiveness and try to never do it again. For someone who isn't saved, they do as they please when they please, and it makes no difference, but for someone who is saved - they know the difference - especially when they weren't raised that way, and they find God..whenever they do something from their "old ways" they do feel differently.

We evangelize to those that are searching. I evangelize because the Spirit of God has that influence on me.

By asking this question, you reveal that you do not have the most basic understanding of what a Christian is, and how the Spirit of God changes us. You don't have to believe to understand. I hope that you will someday.

It's our job.

"Silence is golden but more often it is guilty. The normal thing for Christians is to speak of what they know, to deal frankly against error, and to maintain freedom of discussion whenever challenged by an honest appeal of plain facts. But to shut up like a clam is sin by omission - failure to study God's word or the fear of cost of unvoicing unpopular testimony".

It's our calling. It should be the calling to evangilize what ever your religion.

The Great Commission.

And to correct some occasional misspellings.
"evangelize"

Christians are called to evangelize. Why do atheists 'bash' Christians?
