So I asked my fried if he was molested becasue I had a dream he was. He was like, yeah I was. We started talking about it, and he said it was himself, and he was serious. I call that masturbation, but he seems to think differently. Is that just weird, or does anyone else feel the same way?

It sounds as if he's conflicted within himself about what went on. He needs to accept what was done (as odd as that sounds) and forgive himself, because if he doesn't do this he will never be at peace with himself, which is the ideal state for humans.

I think that the two sides of his brain, or his ego and his id, or however you want to define it, the sexual vs the intellectual portion of his brain, were not in agreement about certain aspects of his sexuality, and what likely happened is that in a moment when his conscious, or intellectual side, was not foremost (maybe when he was sleeping) his sexual side saw an opening and instinctively went for it.

Obviously, he's not ok with this, but he needs to realize that these are two sides of the same coin and accept this.

This was a strange answer to a strange question. I wish him the best of luck in coming to terms with this.

uhh hes just weird. in order for it to be molestation he has to be forced into it. so unless there is a way he resists and forces at the same time; it's only masturbation. he doesnt know any better.

Wow, poor guy. That's how people end up to be screwed-up pervs. They've been taught that everything is wrong. It's definitely weird. 95% of men masturbate, the other 5% lie.

It's called masturbation or self-molestation.

Many religions and cultures think masturbation is bad. So they could look at it as self molestation.

It sounds like he is masturbating and feels guilty about it. I wouldn't let it worry me if I were you. You are obviously a caring friend, but there's really nothing you can do to help him. He has to figure this one out himself.

Nope. Unless he has multiple-personality disorder, that's just plain masturbation.
