I feel shy and very nervouse when i am at the bank counter or in a bus- my hands and legs start shanking, heart pounding rapidly, shaky voice. People always say they cant hear me well. When i am nervouse, my eyes go red, difficulty making eye contact and i feel that the person, i am talking to, has doubted on me that i am a stupid and dishonest person. I really dont know what what should i do for this problem. Please someone advise me...

You appear to have some sort of anxiety disorder. I was sorta like that when I was younger... very shy, people always asked me to speak up. I would suggest you talk to a doctor and get on a low dose antidepressant such as zoloft. Then, you need to take speech class. I know it sounds scary, but it really helps. I took it in 7,8,9 grade and then a semester in college although I'm a shy person. It makes you feel more confidant when talking to people and along with the zoloft, it'll help you not be so nervous and anxious when speaking to people.

oh... and if you're young and can't tell your parents you need to have a mental evaluation (for the anxiety/depression), then talk to your school counselor. I had to talk to my school couselor when I was treated for it in 10th grade 'cause my mom and stepdad were oblivious to it and we aren't that close.

Try this, who gives a hell about other people, you may never see any of them again, so why bother what they think about you. You are your own person, be laid back, down to earth. If you're figgety all the time, you may never get to meet the right person, and before you know it, you're 80 years old, and the end would soon be near. Life's too short to be shy all the time. You need to live life to the fullest. If you want to fart in front of the whole bus, then you fart. It doesn't matter what other people think of you. I tried it and so far it's working out welll. I have (had) a severe social anxiety problem, but now I just don't care. Some people will like you, some won't.

I have the same problem. I get sick, feel like my heart is coming out of my chest, shake, breath very hard. It sounds like you are having a panic attack. You should talk to your Dr. He will help with a dignoses. You may need some meds to help you. Make sure you are honest & up front it is the only way he can help you. If you have trouble talking to your Dr. then try writing everything on paper. That way you will feel comfortable & he will have all the information he will need. Good luck !!!!!

Try and calm down. To help calm your nerves bring a friend along to help. If nothing works try seeing a doctor about this to get medication to help you stay calm.

you need therapy and you need to just get out and talk to people as much as possible, the more you do the more it desensatizes you to contact with people.
