Why SHOULD they?

As someone already pointed out, Judaism came first, your Jesus dude was a Jew, he claimed to be the son of God and all hell broke loose...!

I think that what you are REALLY asking is "Why don't Jews believe that Jesus is the son of God and Lord of all things?" ... maybe they're just too realistic, after all, if you have to TELL people that you're the 'son of God', then it's probably not true! If it WAS true, it would surely be obvious! All these so-called 'miracles' are mostly natural phenomenon that's been taken advantage of, or simple illusion that could be replicated by any self-respecting Illusionist.

the Jew Jesus pretended in his life time, to be the Messiah. when he failed to deliver (there is a deep belief in the "power of the Messiah among the Jews) and was treated by the Romans as a simple thieve, executed and died on the cross. the Jews accepted him just as a normal human being. his followers on the other hand developed a whole religious around his personality that appealed at the time mainly to the pagans, (but also to few Jews)

Jews do believe in Jesus, just not as the son of Hashem (God). And the reason that Jews most likely dont believe in Jesus is because they are the ones that killed him and instead of being shamed with that, they are in denial and claim he wasn't God's son.

A handful of Jewish people do believe in Jesus (Jews for Jesus).

Most Jewish people do believe that Jesus existed, and was Jewish - but do not believe that He is the Messiah.

They couldn't believe that the son of God would be from so simple of a background. They kept looking for a man that would be a King and destroy the Roman army to rid them from Roman occupation. Even though Jesus performed many mirecles that could not be explained or performed by any other mortal man.

Read the book of Matthew for more explaniation.

You asked an all inclusive question, that makes you question invalid.

Jesus was born into a Hebrew Family! They p[prayed in the Hebrew Temple/Synagogue. His disciples were Hebrews that believed at first that He was a Great Prophet and teacher.

Most of His earlier followers were Hebrew.

Your question said, "Jews do not", you insulted all of the disciples and the thousands of Hebrews that followed Him, and became Christan after He rose to heaven.

Do your home work before making accusations!

I believe there is a small Jewish sect that does, but it's because their religion came first! Remember, Jesus was Jewish! This is the same reason why Christians don't automatically become Muslims.

They do believe in Jesus, the historical Jesus, not the protestant Jesus.
