I'm using the peroxide/muriatic acid formula with sharpie resist pen. This has worked for me before, but now, the ink just comes right off. I'm doing this outdoors and the temp is currently ~100F. I'm thinking that's the culprit.
Any other ideas?

I think that the ink has to dry real well. Is it humid outside?

I used to screen print the pattern & etch with ferric chloride. If printing is done with ordinary gloss ink, you can get wonderful professional results.Even minute hair like details can be got.Must be dries @least24hrs before etching.
