Why is it that the people that have NO compassion on the poor always had help to get where they are?

For instance ,freinds or family members.It seems to always be the case with people like that and they never consider some people might not have had the opportunities they had.Im not saying its ok to be lazy .Ive been poor but work very hard and have done a lot of jobs anyone else would have turned their nose up at.

lol . Worked to earn that help????. What did you work at jack in the box as a fetus in order to save up for parents and true freinds?

Just wanted to add that "(Lord willing") Im going to go to drafting school to be able to earn a decent salary but it will be a cold day in hell before I ever forget how bad things where and get cold hearted to others

Probably because their stuck up uncompassionate people that think that they are better than everyone else and allways have. Probably never really considered the tools and the help that they got when they were in the dumps. I'd say just shake it off, beause these people won't change

You know I was born and raised VERY poor,, I have worked hard and educated myself and now I am somewhat comfortable.

One of things the US has over many other countries is opportunity,, it takes hard work dedication and sacrifice, but you CAN pull yourself out of a bad situation.

At some point people need to grow up stop blaming, their parents, society and everything else and do what it takes to improve.

Sometimes you just have to take some hits and do the hard thing. Whining will not help.

The world is full of people that are only concerned for themselves. Some may act like they're champions of equal rights or world peace, some jump on the pro-choice wagon or homsexual agenda but when it all comes down to it, it's all an act so that they can brag about their exploits or show how open minded they are. The reality is, those who forsake God, care only for themselves and their own selfish agenda.

Sounds like ya came from the wrong family.
In my family, we pass it down to the kids. My mother has helped me alot through out the years, and all she asks, is that I do the same for my kids.
But I understand what you mean, I have a brother who doesn't get it! I've had to play parent for his oldest since she turned 18.
I guess there's just alot of people in this world goin' to $#!^ !!!

because they are removed from the street level. they have never been there and can't see why the poor just can't rise above their issues. i really can't see that it is truly their fault either. they will incapable of empathy here for they are forever blind. now there are many philanthropists who do, however, give many billions of dollars to the poor...but much more needs to be done. our whole system needs a definite super-change. but as long as we keep on paying for war we will always have poor folk.

People who recieve help are often those that don't ask for it, or those that ask for it from sources that are willing to give. You ask your father (or whoever) for assistance, and your father is willing to give it. If a homeless man asks for your assistance, and you're not willing to give it, that's fine; you're not the person he should be asking.

Those that have compassion for the poor are willing to give assistance, but that by no means that the rest of us are obligated to. To say such is simple self-righteousness that defeats the alturism of the act itself.

People have no compassion because of selfishness. Its different in other countries. They are far more compassionate than Americans.
