Yes, depends. If a 23 year old dates a 20 year old, that's fine. If a 15 year old dates a 12 year old, that's not fine. It depends because once you're over 18, you're ready for adult relationships and that's when age does not count because it's all about love.

As you grow older, you learn to control yourself, to censor yourself.

There is a lot of talking about love at any age, or young and old people falling in love. But wisdom that comes with age tells us that age does matter if you are mature enough.

i totally agree with the first guy!!!
but it sucks cause latly i've had the same problems
im 16 and theres this duke whos 20
so of course right now its a problem
but as u get older...
a larger age difference becomes a litlle bit more acceptable
i hate being so young sometimes!
but then i love it
so just do what feels right
just make sure u can trust the person in ur situation
so if anything crazy nonsense happens...
u'll both know u can figure it out together
and resolve whatever the problem may be!
=]
GOOD LUCK!

When it comes to falling in love.....age means nothing. Everyone is telling you that you must be older than 18. No. There is age limits on sex which varies drastically by state so look very carefully for the laws if this is an issue (and when I say look carefully....I mean look carefully because their are laws many people miss), but with love their is no limit.

I would hope that the younger partner would be at least 18, if we're talking an adult relationship. If you're in high school, 3-4 years could make a BIG difference.

I recall reading of back in the 1800s and 1900s, of pre-teen girls getting married to geezers.....

I think if you keep it legal, it doesn't matter. If you love him, you should be able to be proud of the love you have. I think that you two don't need age to make it work, some people do...but if you love him, and he loves you, I say, "go for it girl"!

As long as both parties are 18+, age isn't a barrier. We love who we love - we don't really have much control over that.
