But, why do you want to learn German? It's one of the hardest languages and mostly useful to read philosophers and theologians from the 19th century (1800s). Unless, of course, you live in Germany and will continue to live there. And, life is very hard there.

It is correct that the majority folks in Europe can be equipped to talk english with you. Some would present you to talk English despite the fact that you talk German. This is solely looking to be well mannered and looking to make the dialog less difficult for you. If you inform them that you're finding out and that you simply desire to talk German they will very so much recognize. On the opposite hand you have to keep in mind that German, in comparison to English, is fairly intricate to study. The grammar is way more elaborate. But I believe finding out a brand new language is regularly some thing valued at doing. So why no longer simply provide it a take a look at?

German isn't as hard to learn as some people think. Every language has difficult aspects about it, even English (just think of spelling versus pronunciation- it's much easier in German).
You could search the internet for "Deutsch als Fremdsprache" (German as a foreign language), there are special programs developed for the use of foreigners

Wie geht's? Have you taken any classes? You can learn plenty of vocabulary and grammar online or by using a textbook - check eBay or ecampus for some good prices. The hardest thing is getting some listening practice. Check out http://www.mikesradioworld.com/eu_de.html for German radio stations. Good luck! Weidersehen!
