True, we have asked ourselves this over the centuries, I suppose we are sky worshipers, alone us and the birds perhaps, and are codemned to fear it's infinite void.

So, whether you give a religious answer or a scientific one, please try to answer a question which we have pursued for as long as we walk the face of the earth.

so i take it you're not looking for a scientific explanation of some sort. me neither. when i look at the stars, i see the infinite possibilites that is God. every now and then, i like to look up and imagine them to be his angels smiling down and showing us the way in the dark, kinda like they are saying "i got your back". it's just such a peaceful scene, i can't quite explain it.

hope this is what u were looking for! :)

Unlike the answer above, the Sun (proper noun) is just another star. Stars are not suns, but the Sun is a proper name given only to this star.

But the stars are like our Sun. Not just like, but similar.

Yes, I looked at the category and wondered, why are you asking here?

You did ask for "a religious answer or a scientific one," note that not many religions say much about the stars.

But in christian prophecy, stars are symbolic of messengers or angels.
