Robot Coupe is the best, but they,re way expensive. If you're looking to save, try Cuisinart or Kitchenaid. Braun makes some good and cheap ones too.

For kitchen gadget research, PBS TV show Ameica's Test kitchen is great. They rate everything for peelers, to potato mashers, to ice cream makers,to food processors. If my memory serves, they recomend KItchen Aide appliances for just about everything, saying their appliances in their tests do as well as the expensive brands, for a lot less.. Their testing is independent, the companies do not pay them. Check out their web site, and see. I subscribe to their magazine, Cook's Illustrated. They test recipes, and figure out what is wrong or right with them The last one I saw was German Chocolate Cake and frosting, it was nothing like the stuff out of the box or can, and nothing like the original recipe. Hope this helps.

I recommend the Cuisinart DLC-10S Pro seven cup processor for $98-$149.99. It has great reviews and a leader manufacturer.
