Do they realize that it's a lifestyle of living holy, being Christ - like, being different from the way they use to be, being set apart, not just going to church and living a so called good life?

Yes. In fact, I do.

The Character of a Godly Man:
Psalm 1:1-3 Ref.
Christian men willing to answer the Lord’s call to live godly lives in an unrighteous world. A man with this mindset will understand the importance of:

Ordering his life with Christian counsel. A God-fearing man is not too self-sufficient or proud to ask for help. He seeks biblical counsel regularly so that he can succeed according to God’s principles. He is open to advice based on scriptural truths, whether for his home life, personal finances, or business matters. Many of us, however, are prone to seek opinions from those who appear successful, even if they do not share our faith. How wise can ungodly men be when they have chosen to live without God? How smart are we when we seek their advice?
Limiting his deepest friendships to fellow believers. Only the like-minded — those who love Jesus and desire to follow Him — are suitable to be intimate friends of a believer. Remember, our companions can influence us positively or negatively. Those who reject Jesus will never guide us toward Him. Those who are casual in their faith can influence us away from God’s standards. While the Lord expects us to relate to all sorts of people, it is wise to restrict our “inner circle” to Christ-followers.
Being committed to defending the truth. Concerned with the things of the Lord and His church, a godly man will TAKE A STAND against the profane use of Jesus’ name. Not only will he speak the truth about unrighteous patterns of behavior and their destructiveness; he will also oppose ridicule of the Bible or other Christians. Ref. Psalms 1;3 Jer 17:8 14:1 12: 1-2

Men, the Lord calls you to godliness. What will you say?

I don't think God wants us to be different or think we are different from other people. We should love the lord and go to church.Read the bible and do the best we can. Many people don't go to church because so many people think they are better then the next. Being a Christian to me is me having a relationship with Jesus and living my life the best way I know how. I can't hide the fact that I sin. God knows what I do. He knows my heart. I accepted christ and he will mold me and I learn as I grow in him. That is what it means to me.

To become a Christian one must turn from his or her sins and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. When this happens you will have eternal life. When you get into this saving relationship you become transformed. This means that you no longer want to do the things that you did before you became a Christian. This will come natural to you. People say that Christianity is a bunch of rules intended to limit fun. No, these things hold you back. But now you will no longer want to do them. You may be tempted from time to time. But over time these temptations become less and less. Doing the things that you are supposed to do becomes easier and easier. You begin to love everyone, even people who ask stupid questions on Yahoo. Life is good you will be happy.

Not enough people do. You definitely got it right here. The reaction of so many people on Yahoo Answers alone is proof that Christians are doing many things wrong. All these horrible stereotypes are a result of Christians steering away from the true message of Christianity. One of my favorite verses is Matthew 5:48, which says, "Be perfect therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect." People tend to steer more towards the "We're only human. It's alright if we screw up." Sure we're only human, but we are called to something more. Good post.

Unfortunately, some who believe if they go to church and praise the Lord on Sunday, that makes them Christian. There are very few that live it as well as talk it.

I am a New Christian and I am still learning. but I know how to be a Good Christian. I make a LOT of mistakes but I don't do it because i want to. I do it because i am still learning.

I gave my life to Jesus and gave all my sins to him. he Is now In my Heart and he is guiding me and molding me into a better person. I am trying to be a Good person. trying to be the person God made me to be. and with HIS help I will be.

To be Christian is to be loving, tolerant, accepting and helpful. I'm not a Christian and I know that but what's sad is that a lot of people who say they're Christian are the worst bigots and bashers there are.

Most people are not truly devoted Christians and sin A LOT and do not repent for it.

I am Christian but believe that as long as you believe in god and repent your sins, and religion is actually OK.

Anyway, I thinik you have a good understanding of Catholic religion (Christian).

I try to keep up with the lord always, sometimes fail, but always try to repent my sins. (Also, I try to keep in touch with the lor and never forget to remember him on christmas, I even lit a brithday candle for him last year... LOL)

OK, good luck with your answers.

Does it mean being "better" then the rest of us? 'Cuz that is the vibe I get from many here.

...and caring about others, helping all people, not hating others, taking care of God's creation, and all the other things that Jesus told us to do.
