Right now, there is no worst car brand. Every one has a bad product out there. Toyota has the Avalon, Dodge has the Neon and Stratus, and Ford their present F150 series. GM has their 1500 truck with four wheel drive and their Hummer. Honda has had problems with their CRV too. Yugo is history and their cars were pretty good for the most part; but people refused to maintain them properly. People blame Dodge for their 2.7 liter engine, but don't change the oil regularly. I think there is more to do with the owner, rather than the brand of car you buy.

Any auto maker can make a "bad" car. If you are the one that has to deal with the headache, you won't like that brand. Years ago, I rebuilt a Chevy Celebrity. Now, it is named the Lumina. I personally would not go down that road again. Then, I had a wonderful Chrysler. No problems there. I miss that one. However, it is no longer made. My Mom had a Nissan Stanza/Altima for over 10 years that went to the shop only two times!!!! I have a Toyota Sienna that gets nothing more than regular maintenance and it is terrific. Subarus are legendary for lasting a long time. Try finding a used one with under 150,000 miles - not easy to do. People love them and repeat buy them over and over...I will definitely consider another Toyota myself.

The Yugo was legendary in its problems. It killed its own company, and examples are now sought out strictly for use as artist fodder.
