Exp:Bear share, winmx, limwire, etc? I'm shir there's some I don't even know about. Which one is better and why?

Limewire because they are being sued by the recording industry association of america. Punitive damages are $150,000 for every single copyrighted file that was transferred on their network.
Now who here wouldn't want a piece of that?

DC++ i.e. Direct Connect ++
Its the fastest and the one which is most difficult for nasty ISP (Internet Service Providers) to throttle.
Just make sure you do not share or download illegal content or if you do, make sure you know what the consequences can be.

Those are used illegally on the majority of transactions. Don't use them.
