Im 27 and have had acne since I was a teenager. I have tried everything from Retin-A to Accutane to Benzoclin to ProActiv. The simplest thing is a 'folk cure' that my great grandmother told me to do and it's the only thing that has ever worked for me. I've been acne free for the 3 months I've been doing it. I dont even wear make-up out all the time which I havent done since I was little! I wash my face, morning and night, with tea tree oil facial soap and follow up with Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar as a toner. (you can get both in any health food store) It's best to use the toner only at night for the first few times to see how your skin will react. It will sting a bit (but not uncomfortable) and your face will be a bit red but it normally subsides in a bit. If your skin adapts pretty quickly and the redness goes away quickly, use it in the morning after washing, as well. I have gotten so many compliments on my skin, it's ridiculous. The overall texture improved, pores arent so visible, not so oily....just amazing. And I never had 'good skin.' I wish I had tried this years ago because it would have saved me thousands of dollars. Sometimes the doctors and prescriptions arent always the best cure. Hope you try it and it works for you!

First do not squeeze pimples. Wash your face once in two hours with carbolic acid based soaps. Apply turmeric and sandalwood paste on the pimples. Be relaxed always. Meditation also helps you a lot. Mind your diet. Avoid Faty , oily edibles ,sweets, chocolates and spicy foods. Exercise regularly.
Do all these patiently and with confidence. You will get cured soon.

don't scratch or squeeze pimples, prefer face wash to soap. use a good cleanser. avoid oily and spicy foodstuff. do not try too many things on your skin. also ensure that u do not have dandruff, coz it can also cause pimples. half the problem is solved.
if the condition is really bad, u can consult a dermatologist.
if its only a minor trouble, there are a no. of natural face packs u can use, and they have no side effects: aloe vera, it is very effective, and protects ur skin from various kinds of infections; gram flour + turmeric + curd; fuller's earth + rose water. best of luck!

What follows are two reputable and authoritative MEDICAL references about acne. “Folk medicine” cures I would dispense with as a waste of time and money.
Expectations (prognosis)
Acne usually subsides after adolescence, but may last into middle age. The condition generally responds well to treatment after a few weeks, but may flare up from time to time. Scarring may occur if severe acne is not treated. Some people, especially teenagers, can become significantly depressed if acne is not treated.
Call your doctor or a dermatologist if:
1.Self-care measures and over-the-counter medicine have not helped after several months.
2.Your acne is severe (for example, you have lots of redness around the pimples or you have cysts) or getting worse.
You develop scars as the your acne clears up.
Treatment

If you can afford it, go buy Pro Active acne medicine. It really works. I know someone who just bought it this week who had really bad acne on the forehead, chin and nose and I swear his face looks soooo much better from using just for 5 days! It's amazing stuff and he has tried everything including changing his diet.

1. damp your face with warm water and wash w/regular shower soap to wash away any bacteria on surface
2. pat dry face w/towel
3 use cottonball and apply rubbing alcohol to infected areas leave on until dry then rinse with warm water
4 use cottonball to apply peroxide...it will fizz all of the icky up to the surface just like it does with cuts...wait for it to dry then rinse with warm water
5. if leaves skin dry apply lotion
