Is it different than Christianity? Is it false?

Some folks,(myself included) have had horrendous experiences with Christianity in the normal sense.
Therefore, I find myself reviewing everything I read, hear, see,and even think. I back everything I say with tons of research so I can avoid being wrong and misleading hundreds of innocent people
There are times that I feel like the Christian community may see me as Agnostic, or even Atheist, but the way I view it, God can stand up to my rigorous and thorough investigation. If he can't, then I am doing nothing more than flicking the foundation of a house of cards.
This is what has me labeled as a Contemplative Christian.
Simply put, I don't have faith in any one persons interpretation of God except my own. Any information that is given to to me is really put to the grinder. I'm not a preacher or Sunday School Teacher or anything like that. I'm just an average Joe.
Thank-you for asking and I
hope this helps a little. :)

Contemplative Christianity simply refers to the practice of focusing on God and Christ. There are several ways to define it. It is not a denomination, but a practice that can be a part of any Christians life. In some denomination there are groups of individuals who live lives of contemplation. These are monks or nuns. They spend many hours in prayer and in meditating. These are often referred to as contemplative Christians. However all Christians should set aside times for contemplative prayer. An important part of these is "listening for God." We must remember as Elijah did that it comes in a still small voice in the silence and so we must set aside these times of silence.
