my father had one. He was dying in an ambulance with a heart out of rhythm. He heard God talk to him. To this day he cannot explain to us what God said. He just cries.

I have had a few of them and have come to the conclusion that they were lucid dreams. (Dreaming while awake).

They always occurred at the time I was awakening from sleep or just about to fall asleep.

Once I woke up in the morning and felt myself flying through the room, out the window and through the yard and through the corner of the fence in the backyard. I woke up and was in my bed.

Another time I was about to fall asleep on the couch and I felt myself drift to the kitchen. There was a small man standing in front of the refrigerator and I asked him why he was in my kitchen and he replied "I don't know". I woke up on the couch.

We dream while asleep - why not while awake?

only on LSD but it was unreal. i got to float around a room and listen in on people's conversations and I had this omniscient point of view like I was a fly buzzing around and transmitting everything back to my brain. The same night, I was sitting on the ground with my bak to the wall of my neighbor's house, and I thought my legs had sunk into the ground under me. I looked out in front of me and couldn't see them. I actually believed that I was planted into the dirt. never did acid again
