Try using new Herbal Essences Simply Straight shampoo and conditioner. it works wonders. also, what I do is instead of blowdrying my hair, I brush it with a wide tooth brush pretty much every 5 min. until it's dry

First, are you using a straight iron.
If you have wavy hair, you are not going to get a straight look without some work.
Try on ionic flat iron.
Also, when using a flat iron, always, always, make use you use some type of product in your hair to protect the heat of the flat iron.
Best product: Paul Mitchell
They have a great smooth and shine product.
All you need is a dime size, Its great for smoothing and giving a nice shine too the hair.
Also, try not washing your hair every day.
On the days you don't wash your hair, you are leaving all the natural oils in it. And you will notice getting it flat with the iron will actually give you better results.

First you need to blow dry right away after you get out of the shower and get as much water as you can out with the towel. If your hair has the chance to start naturally drying it will be harder to straighten as it will start to wave/curl. Then section it out starting on the bottom layer and use a good iron to straighten it out. The ones from Wal-Mart work for some people but I use a CHI that runs around $120. Too bad you don't have someone to show you in person, it's really easy if you use the right stuff.

I having a "Remington Wet to Straight" straightner and it works way good. Because I too have stubborn wavy hair. I love this straightner!! I can usually get pin straight hair with it. Even when my hair is wet! You see it steams your hair dry while it straightens so therefore NO HAIR DRYER (I can't blow dry my hair it frizzes)! And you would think that since it's a steam Iron you'd get major damage but I've used it for a long time and haven't had any probs. Just use a good conditioner. :D

There's this one straightener. I think it's called "Wet to Straight" or something. You can straighten your hair while it's wet. It straightens really well and it doesn't damage your hair cuz you can iron while your hair is still wet/moist unlike the other straighteners that only work while your hair is dry and it fries up faster. I highly recommend that one. I think it's about 20-30 bucks at Target and Walmart.

Buy a CHI iron. They are expensive but well worth it. Your hair will stay straight a couple of days if you do it right. Which would be a section at a time. You may have to go to your hairdresser to get you one though.

start with getting a flat iron &/or blow dryer.
after you wash your hair put a straightening gel like from Panteen ProV or John Ferida in your damp hair then blow dry.
get a ceramic falt iron and pass through sections of your hair.
str8 and lasts :-)
