God doesn't tempt men, but he did give us agency. To exercise our agency we have to have opposition.
For it must needs be that there is an opposition in all things. If not so, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad.

In Genesis 22:1, the word in Hebrew means "to tempt", but, it also means "to test".
Again, in James 1:13, the word "tempted" means "to test".

i definitely think so..although somewhere later in the bible it also states that God does not temp...
it's just another bible contradiction, i'm curious to hear the excuses people come up with to explain this one
let me guess... you have to read the bible "in context" yet other passages you must interpret literally
