Yes and no. Depending on where the bullet enters the head. Even though a .22 cal. LR bullet has a range of one mile, at times it won't have the power to exit the head.
What usually causes death when shot in the head with a small caliber bullet is when the bullet actually riccochets off the inside of the skull, tearing the brain and literally turning it to mush.

It would depend on exactly where in your head you were shot, however many people have died from 22 calibre gunshot wounds.

probably..although my friends dad shot himsef with a rifle...not sure what caliber..and he lived..it took the front part of his brain..so he has a lot of problems..but still can function and hold a job.
