Are we not all americans, who are facing a common enemy? I mean, we are fighting an enemy that does not use force, but instead uses colonization, guilt, and pity, to try and conquer. Let's put aside the 'racism' thing among americans, ,and stick to the 'we are all americans' thing, and let's all fight for the preservation of this country. COME ON, whites, blacks, native americans, latinos, and every race in the u.s. that are legal americans! UNITED we stand, divided we fall! What do you say? We all band together as americans?

Yes the majority of Americans are uniting more and more everyday. Of all races who call themselves Americans. Groups are forming-petitions are being signed, fences are going up, counties and towns are making laws, benefits in some States are being cut off for non citizens and much more (too much to list)-it is happening. The results show how well it is going.

And the other pro groups are hanging themselves by their actions more and more everyday. The results show that too.

Be very, very careful, all of you who hastily agreed. I am a born skeptic no matter what the issue. But allow me to ask you all this question: Are you basing your opinion on stereotyping and what has been reported in the news? If you are...you might want to go and live in another culture and see what life is like outside of the US.

I have been lucky enough (through smarty-pants grants) to have lived in Nicaragua, Attend courses at Birmingham, England and Rhodesia (it is in South Africa, people, look it up).

I also have three federally verifiable disabilities, four Master's degrees and have very recently found it necessary to stop working because I've been diagnosed with cancerous brain tumors. I don't want your pity. I want what many other people want and take for granted...to be treated like a human being. White people are the minority in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). Being a minority race, a woman and have disabilities gets to be very interesting indeed when one of your degrees is in Psychology (heh).

The people you are calling Native Americans prefer the term, "American Indian." Try talking to people once in a while, stop lumping so many people into stereotypical role models your parents grew up with and try to think about the situation from the other person's point of view for a minute. Not you, nor any of the rest of you, gets to judge someone unless you've walked a mile in his or her shoes.

People in Many towns in Mexico work in maquiladoras working and doing the jobs that nobody in the US would want anyway. They get paid about five American dollars a month on which to support their starving families. They work in very low-light conditions (at least in Juarez because I have visited...) with cockroaches and rats and all sorts of parasites because of no health codes. Due to the low lighting and the high amount of work that is performed, many of the workers end up blind as a result and now they can no longer work.

I don't think I would enjoy going to work on the third floor of a three-story building with a temp of 102 degrees fareinheit., no air conditioning, possibly a fan in the corner of the room in order to sew my quota of 943 shirts for the shift. No breaks unless absolutely necessary....

Do you want this job? Would you be trying to get out of the country if this was the only job you could get in Mexico?

I am not defending nor admonishing either side of this emotionally charged issue. Only trying to walk in someone else's shoes. As I said...Be very careful.

Finally, don't piss on my leg and tell me it's raining...

Three cheers for you!!! That is exactly what we do need to be doing - not fighting among ourselves. We are wasting time, energy, and more on hatred in our own country - when we should be trying to get together and save our country. Great question!!!

Fighting doesn't resolve anything. We have a horrifying examples right now.
Remember that the peace can only be conquered by a pen, not by a bomb.

Your biggest enemy is Bush and the Neocons .Get rid of them and there would not be any enemy of US.It is this group which has entangled you in inextricable battles.
