You need to associate the anger with another non-eating behavior.
Next time you get angry, go to the fridge and put an x on a piece of paper. Then go upstairs, hit a pillow on your bed and put the TV on to 3-5 different channels - each time watch 1 minute per channel..take your mind off the anger.. Wait till there are 5 X's or 10 x's till you open the door. Then next week make it 20x's..
other ideas -
Ride a bike, wwalk around the block, write a page blog, kick a box-can, take a baseball bat and hit a ball..... do something else.

Consciously think about what you're doing, and find another way to burn off your frustration. I have had the same problem, and turned to fast walking instead of the refrigerator when I am upset, and have lost about 70 lbs, along with about 8" off my waistline in the past 2.5 years.

Do you have a pet? If you do go give it a hug and you'll feel better. As well try contemplating writing an angry yet coherent letter of complaint to a newspaper or a magazine. Or talk to a loved one or a friend about anything that's taxing on your mind.
