its me you take your hair divide it into sections to either style it, dry it or curl it whatever.
just by putting your hair in 2 pigtails you already are sectioning it.
ok since you dont kno put your hair in 2 pigtails... then take 1 of the pig tails and divide that in 2. and dive those two into 2.
do the same thing to the next side and already you have 8 sections in your hair and work with those. if you need it smaller just keep dividing every piece into two parts

Well I can't ever seem to be able to curl my hair myself as it's pretty hard to reach the back. Sectioning basically means separating your hair into small sections so that it will fit into the curling iron. Basically what you do to this small section is, you take the barrel of the curling iron and clip the end of the section of hair in the...clippy thing (I'm sure you see it) and curl the section around the barrel and hold it for about 5 seconds. Do this for each small section of your hair, and then you should spray it with spray or scrunch it with gel, so that it holds. I hope I helped. It's hard to describe without actually showing you.
