I got pulled over for doing 76 mph in a 55 zone then he got me for having my old address on my Drivers License and on my registration. Those two offenses brought it up another $130 each. But the Trooper said if I got the addresses changed before the court date , the judge would throw them out.I did and the ticket only ended up costing me $78 total.

F**k YES,
In Texas that is Normally how it goes.
Write a ticket for every thing they can think of and what ever they are pissed off about on that day.
It is imposable to go to court and get a fair decision, because he has written so many citations one out of the 4, or 5, one must hold up in court. Most people just go down and pay the tickets that is why they get way with it
Example of this is I got stopped I think for speeding, my birthday was the 25 July and on the 3 August, so I got a Citation for Driver license not being renewed by the end of the month. Then I got a citation for no Insurance; he tells me my insurance cannot be any good if my driver’s license is expired. My Insurance is paid up until December; I pay it 6 months at a time. Then Address change, then the Young Puppy asked if he could search my car it was 11:00 pm so I told him no; the JP Judge I do not like so I told him go get her out of bed an get a search warrant.
Well Texas you know, he searched it anyway.

Thats very true. If you get pulled over for one violation and they find other violations during the investigation, than they can nail you for those as well. Luckily for you, you had a really cool cop that hooked you up and told you how to fix that stuff. I would have done the same thing if you were cool with me.
The main thing that people fail to understand when they are pulled over is that the best thing to do is be cool with the officer and tell the truth. These things will go a long way in determining what the officer does. I'm glad you didn't get busted for a bigger ticket. Most cops just want you to be in compliance with the laws. They don't really want to bust you.

im not sure where you are vrom, but in missouri you dont get a ticket for a different adress on your lisence unless you dont inform the officer. but yes, i had the wrong plates on the car, they dont catch it all the time since all ive had were dodge neons, so they thought i either painted it or the computer hadnbt changed the registration, hehe
