Seems like we can't handle the fact that there isn't anything to do in this world but eat, crap, and die.

Most of these answers are a joke, please don't bother if you don't really have anything smart to add.

That hasn't been proven. If you assume that as fact, then yes, but that's pretty much an athiest saying "Isn't religion just wrong?"

As an agnostic, I don't pretend to know the amount of truth in your statement.

You couldn't be further from the truth than with the question\statement you've made. You DON'T have to be a scientist or theologian to look up into the night sky and know that ALL OF THIS JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN IN A BIG EXPLOSION! Evilution is the most ridiculous LIE ever taught\told! Think about it. Meditate on it. There IS a CREATOR! And if you devote some serious time at a good bible-based church studying what is taught, you'll soon get the answers to your own questions. I don't know where you live, but there are Calvary Chapels all over the U.S. Do some diggin' and you'll discover...the Truth.
I'll leave you with this..."A fool says in his heart there is NO God." Psalm 13:1

Only for those who live empty lives and are satisfied with that. If that's all you do, then you do live an empty life. God Bless you. Through His Blessings, you can have a fuller life, if you want to do more than "eat, crap, and die".

look out there..... it's not empty!
It is full of awesome beauty, the ocean, the mountains, the newborn babies!
These are too wonderful to have happened out of the blue. It was all planned by God All good is from God. All evil is from the Devil. "The foolish man says there is no God."

I think so... Long ago people were bored and didn't understand their world, so in the form or stories they made up both entertainment and explanations for things they could not understand.

No, it isn't a distraction. We have a purpose to help each other and bring forth happiness to each individual. It's all about God not religion.

That's a leading question and while there is no right answer a simplified and logical answer to the question would lean towards yes.
