My father, whose business makes $250,000/ quarter, disowned me my first semester of college because I supposedly loved my mother more than him, and he could not afford the $1200 every 6 months (this was what was left over after acocunting for grants, loans, scholarships, and a part-time job). He said I was not worth his money. He also took me off health insurance in order to buy a Corvette. When my fiancee and I lost the baby I was carrying right before Christmas a few years later, my father's response was, "welcome to the real world".

I put myself through school, declared bankruptcy after a medical emergency, was homeless for 6 months, and started over with absolutely nothing to my name. (My mother, a minimum wage factory worker, was out of work and fighting for disability this whole time).

I am now 30, and he recently called me to ask me why I have been out of contact for 7 years, and tell me how selfish it was of me to not think of him!

I don't know, your message does not compute. Are other people actually selfish? Do they actually look out for their own self-interests? Do they "do" things "to" me? People are robots. Their ability "to do" is very limited. Their "free will" is an over-rated quality which in most of them, does not exist. So the "selfishness factor" is in most cases, the pure animal impulses of their survival-as-brutes natures. I spit upon your question, ptew! Eagle.

My daughter has taken off to other states 3 different times and not told us where she was going. She had her 3 daughters with her. I nearly had a nervous breakdown the last 2 times. She needs to grow up. We did not hear from her for 6 months.

My ex-boyfriend was gay and used me to cover it up. Totally selfish.

I had a college age man accidently spit soda on me, but with no sorry or even respect afterwards. Sort of like he meant to...even though it was by accident.
