Eat the pie backward, starting at the crusty part, and working your way inward. That way, you won't be stuck with the crust at the end, and your last bite of pie will be the most flavorful...

The dessert is served:
Pie is eaten with a fork. If it is served a la mode, the spoon is also used. Ice cream is generally eaten with a spoon, but if it is accompanied with cake, either the spoon alone or both the spoon and fork may be used. If you can neatly eat a dessert with your fingers, you may do so. Large cookies should be broken into pieces before you eat them.

Depends on the pie, apple has to be warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream, as goes for most fruit pies. Pumpkin can be warm or cold and topped with whipped cream. Pecan, oh that sweet yummy pecan, has to be cooled and plain or topped with a bit of whipped cream. Chocolate pie, my oh my, frozen with whipped cream! And a pie should never be meringued!
