History proves that everyon living near the area where Jesus was thought to be, was black or brown, and nowhere near white. Is it that the white christians are racists and cant bow down to a black person? Does this also mean that they will never vote for a black US president?

Why is everyone telling me the Jesus was Jewish. This is common sense. Perhaps you guys should be reminded that it was actually the Romans that killed Jesus, also.

People keep saying that Jesus was jewish as if this means he can not be black also. Dont forget that the original jews were from Ethiopia. The Jews then do not look like the Jews today....Muhammad gave a description of Jesus, research it.

Many people are aware that Jesus was Jewish. The reason Jesus is portrayed as white is because the Catholic church during the middle ages depicted Jesus as someone that their congregants could relate to. Being that many Catholics in the time period were white, it became widely accepted. The people didn't read or write, and were ignorant of many things both biblical and historical. The reason this has continued to be passed down is not out of malice or racism, but simply because it has been portrayed that way for so long, that many people would not understand the change. Jesus was middle eastern, which is not typically considered black either. Its not about bowing down, or not admitting, but probably a mixture of ignorance, tradition, and imply not caring what he looks like. As for the president thing, I think that has nothing to do with it. We are still waiting for a black person or any other minority to make it that far into the election process. You cannot accuse someone of not doing something that hasn't even happened yet.

Does it matter if he was Black, White, brown, or even yellow? Why do you care what other people think! Shouldn't be who is Jesus, not what was his color!
Aren't you doing what you are accusing them of doing! you believe he was a Black, whereas they believe he was white. Aren't you being racist by your remark, and you can't bow down to a white person? Do you know in Asia Jesus is depicted as Asian! People would like to picture him as one of them. They feel closer to him, and more comfortable. just like you too.

What matters is his teaching and who he was, not his color. He was a Jewish person, and people who lived there at his time, came in many different colors. Anything is possible to the LORD is the color of a person. most important issue is who is the LORD.

Never say never, once upon a time, woman were not permitted even to vote, and look now, we even have women working in the white house. Dr. Rice for one. Anything is possible, and may the best person, man or woman, any color win.

I am amazed at the number of people that believe a black person cannot be ethnically Jewish. Listen up, folks - the Black Jews of Ethiopia are SO freakin' Jewish, they have the Ark of the Covenant, with the remains of the Ten Commandments under their control.

On to your question: I suspect white Christians have largely been brainwashed into believing that Jesus looked like a 70's flower child, and did most of his ministering in the Italian countryside, and cannot come to the same logical deduction many of us have reached, yourself included - Jesus, as a middle-easterner, looked the part. Duh.

Well aren't you just full of yourself tonight my little peon. Why are you so upset? Care to lie down and tell me your troubles?
First off Jesus was NOT black - olive skinned most likely
Second- quite a few people are racists, but a TRUE christian is NOT and a true christian will bow down to whom is HOLY and TRUE
And lastly- I don't give a rats behind if the president is white, black, red or brown ... male or female, as long as they do their duties of commander and chief
That will be $150

Jesus was Jewish, with a brown complexion, as far as I'm concerned. His skin color is not my biggest concern however. My biggest concern is that he died for us. Don't you think that's more important than skin?

How many people bow down to George Bush? He's a WASP and people still down him.

I'll vote for whoever stands for the views that are closest to my own, again regardless of color.

Love and blessings,
A "White Christian"

p.s. I don't blame you for feeling this way.

Wow Jesus was black? HM.. that's why they say that Jesus is the 'homey' huh? I never knew where that phrase came from but you question puts things in more perspective..Lil. Seriously, I don't believe that the color of Jesus's skin matters, all that matters is that His blood was red. But good point, I didn't know that people Bethlehem are black/brown.

Whether you chose to believe it or not, Jesus was Jewish by right of birth. His mother Mary was Jewish. He was and is also God. Through His human mother, Mary, He carried the blood of ALL races in Him. He came and died so that everyone could be forgiven their sins. Through Him we are reconciled with God. So yes, He did have 'black' blood running through his veins as well as the blood of every other race.

. Sorry to tell you this Jack, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's YOU that's misguided. There are no longer any contradictions and impossibilities in the Bible yet you're able to correctly be perfect approximately those 8.7 million species that Noah had on the Ark he rather had approximately 8,000 varieties of animals - The Bible is actual the certainty of earth's formation and early history. Why faith bothers you; that's because you're actual ******* insane. and you appear to be a bronze age midsection-eastern goat herder. awaken boyo, the Bible and God are actual, as you will discover out sooner or later quickly. . . .

I am white, and I believe that Jesus was dark skinned. He was a Jew, and they are dark skinned mostly. Some Jews are white just like me. I believe he was dark, but not black.
