It makes me very angry when i see parents smoking around babies, kids or pets. Smoke some where else and not around them cause I'm tired of saying second hand smoke kills!!!!! and don't litter with your cigarette butts either please thank you!!! Second Hand Smoke Kills!!!! so please don't endanger poor kids or pets health. Enough is enough already please!!! and to parents that smoke away from their kids thank you!!!!!! no one should have to breath your dirty smoke!!!!!

Yeah, this is a sore subject for me. I had a neighbor that lived down the street from me, he child was born with a lung disorder, the smoked in the house anyway, the child died when he was 18 months old. Guess what, she got pregnant one year later and what was she doing, puffing at a cigarette!

Now, the thing that people cannot comprehend is how addictive cigarettes are, it is a difficult habit for anyone to break. They do not think about the consequences, although they hear about it a lot and the warning is on the cigarette package.
My father smoked until I was 15. He started as a teenager and he really struggled to stop and had a difficult time with it, but he kept trying.
After he stopped, we all told him that we were relieved and that the second hand smoke was making us sick. He asked us why we didn't say anything and we told him that we tried to
Addictions are devistating and difficult to deal with.
The only thing the person that has the addiction can think about is satisfying their craving.

If second hand smoke kills with any effeciency, none of us children of the 40s, 50s, or 60s would be around to talk about this. Remember, humans evolved over open fires, and our respiratory systems are pretty well suited to take care of the particulate matter created by burning vegetable material. I would suggest that you find another cause, one more worthy of concern.

Take a step back, use some circumspective thinking, and realize that this is media hype. I don't smoke, and think it looks trashy, particularly around children, but the issue does not deserve the vehemency that you impart to it.

I know....
I was raised around smokers, and vowed never to marry one. Well I did. But he smokes outside and not around the kids at all. Our house doesn't smell of nasty smoke.

I am sorry peeps, smokers..But I don't think smoking should be allowed in family restaraunts.
I know you have you rights too ,but I also have the right to breath fresh air.

Honey, you are obviously on some kind of crusade, but this is not the appropriate way to make your point. You are only setting yourself up to ridicule. If you are this adamant about your cause, then go to a clinic and pass out literature. You are having no effect here.

That was a very big issue between my children's mother, my ex-wife, and me when we were married. In answering your question, not only knowing my ex-wife, but ample others, they don't care about the health of their children as much as they care about getting their next "fix" of nicotine. It's hard for them to hear that, but truer words were never spoken. They are nicotine addicts and haven't got the guts or maturity or responsibility necessary to quit doing damage to themselves and their families. God Bless you.

i agree with you, if they want to kill their own self (even though its wrong) they should be allowed to, but they shouldn't make thier children breathe the drugs (cigarrettes)
