i need a small to meidum sized dog btu i dont kno what breed or type to get so can u please tle me.....i really have to get a dgo sooonnn...

Research different breed. Remember that terriers are high energy. Also, do you want a dog with a heavy coat? Like the Australian Shephard? Or a smooth coat like a Fox Terrier?
Research breeds... find out energy levels and grooming requirements.

Also lots of mixed breeds are perfect for your situation. Go to the local humane society and I'm sure they have something your looking for. You'll be saving a life. The dogs there are pretty cheap and come with shots, heartworm tests and are fixed. Great deal.

Why do you need a dog so badly ?? That could make a difference in what might be best. If getting one quickly is your main desire, go to the nearest shelter or pound, and pick out one you like that needs a home. That is always the best thing to do, unless you need a special dog for a special job. Some people just like to be all snobby and show off how much they can spend on a dog, but I could never identify with that sort of thing.

Go to the pound. There's a lot of great dogs that size just waiting for someone to bring them home and make them part of the family. Don't worry so much about breed as the personality of the dog. If you hit it off, that's the dog for you.

why are you rushing to get a dog?
I tell you I never thought in a million years that having my dog would be such a big responsibility until I got her. She is a miniature chihuahua but he needs lots of attention, love and lots of everything else. She loves to go for long walks with me even when i don't want to go, she loves playing even when i don't feel like it at all. She is SMALL but a BIG responsibility. Make sure you know what you are getting into. A small Dog needs more attention then a big one.
Please make sure that it is what you really want I would really hate it for the dog if you got her/him and then got rid of her/him because she is too much work or to much for you to handle.

The best dog is the one that touches your heart when you meet each other. The one with the waggy tail, that comes up to meet you and say "take me home."

You don't need pure breed dog. All dogs are great. i've had both, and they were both perfect companions.

Get an Australian/Spanish shepherd.
They are a medium sized dog with a choice of three beautiful coast. Black, white and brown/blue/red.
They are really placid, intellegant and good with kids. The only problem is they shed a lot of fur

Just go to a local pound and see which one you like the most. I recommend a mutt. I have a mutt, and he is incredibly loveable. I also have a St. Bernard, but he is nowhere near a medium sized dog. Just see which one you like the best. Ask to take them out of their cages, so you can play with them. You'll find one that you like.

Check your local ASPCA or animal shelter. They're bound to have one you'll like and you'll be saving one from death row.

My personal choice would be either a miniature schnauzer or a terrier. Both breeds are good, sturdy, friendly and smart. Good luck.
