If it's in a big open field, I don't worry about it. If it's where people walk, yes.
And to the person that says flies head to kid's mouths, please. Birds poop and horses and cows poop. That should be outlawed too? Get real.
I can just see Mr. Ed in jail for pooping in his field.

Yes i will. It make a big difference if you mind how people think of you. Example, someone spill out his drink in a cafe and just walk off without even informing the waitress/waiter. People will feel that the person is inconsiderate, selfish...etc. At least cafe is better as a waiter/waitress will wipe the mess sooner or later as is their job. But for u, is your dog. If you don clean it, no one will. Maybe the cleaner will the next morning.

A responsible dog owner will pick up and dispose of nasty dog crap. Just think of the piles of crap around if people didn't do it. It's bad enough now that some people don't.Who cares if people see the dog doing it? Every living creature on earth does it. It's just more sanitary if it's cleaned up. Don't you hate stepping in a huge pile of dog crap???????

I live in an apartment complex and we are required to pick up, there are bags and bins all over. No matter what, I would pick up after my dog. Why should people have to see that.

In my town it does! Its illegal to not pick up after your dog. Also, there are health risks due to the feces accidently making its way in to children's mouth and into their systems. Its the RIGHT thing to do!

If I'm at the beach, I pick it up, since people are running around barefoot and there aren't a whole lot of dogs there.
If I'm at a campground, and no one saw it... it stays. Other people have dogs, so no one knows who the jerk is.

Its always the right thing to do when you police up after your dog. Carry some plastic baggies with you so you won't get your hands soiled.

Yes, you should pick up after your dog. Your dog is your responsibility. And no, I wouldn't let it just go in front of the public. That's gross.

I always pick up their mess. One time I forgot to put a bag in my jacket so I went home and got one and came back to pick it up.
I do not want to be responsible for someone stepping in our mess, nor do I want to perpetuate the myth that all pet owners don't pick up after their pets.

By law you are supposed to pick it up. Even if it was not against the law it is just common courtesy so no one steps on it and so it doesn't end up in the sewer and in eventually in the ocean or our drinking water.
