My digital electronics teacher bet our class $20 that nobody could find an example of a digital device that when "reset" (as with a JK flip flop) enters in anything other than a Zero into the device. If you do know of an example i need the application and the circuit diagram.

Microprocessors have registers in them, that when reset, some of the bits are set to 1.

Open this PDF, and look at page 5. The table shows the reset values of the special function registers for this micro. notice some of the bits are set to 1.

You can also design your own flip-flop, that will output a 1 on reset. Just use the "Q not" output instead of the Q.
