As a person who has recently battled with her weight I can relate to your question. Thus, I am going to be candid and direct.

Virtually no one who cares about you is going to say, "Yes, you are fat." So the best way to judge your weight is by your own standards. Look at the people you think are chubby and have a photo with or stand near this person. If you are the same size (more or less) then, yes, by your own standards you are "FAT." Also, go to a weight-loss professional. I have found them to be candid. They will tell you when you can stand to lose no weight, a little weight or a lot of weight.

Please be aware that people absolutely HATE being pestered by friends asking if they are fat. Thus, 10 times out of 10 the answer is going to be NO from these individuals. Your friends and family know that you don't want to be fat, so under what circumstances would they confirm that you are, indeed, large?

If someone said, 'Yes, you're fat' what would you do then -Thank them and call Jenny Craig?

Would you then stop asking people if you were fat because you now had the answer?

Or, would you just move to the next friend on the list and ask that they confirm your degree of fatness?

If you are unhappy with your appearance do something about it. If you start losing weight - people WILL say something about it. If they make positive comments like "Wow, you're losing weight" - then you can be assured that you could have stood to lose a few pounds.

Good luck! It's all up to you.

Well that question differs for everyone. If you take in a lot of extra calories and don't burn them off then that's when you start gaining weight. Everyone holds their weight differently so I can't really say if your fat. A lot of people aren't meant to be skinny. I know I'm not. If you exercise and eat a rather healthy diet, you should be at a healthy weight for yourself. Just don't think down on yourself and think your fat because that causes you to gain more weight. Try to be a positive as possible.

There is a fine line of being chunky and being fat.

If you are a size 14 or larger, you are considered to be plus sized, so I guess that means fat.

The average weight for a woman is 130 pounds, and if you are over that weight at all, then you are considered over weight as a woman. So that's how you tell officially.
